This post is dedicated to a sweet college kid I know who decided he was going to adopt a child for Christmas. He pulled the ornament off the tree of a little girl in need. On the ornament contained her Christmas wish. He told me he had no idea what this toy was when he chose her ornament but he wanted to get it for her. Then he realized it was the impossible to find a Zhu Zhu pet. Of course he could pay a ridiculous amount of money on Ebay, but who wants to do that? He came to me and asked where he could find one. Well in my searching I found a really neat website that I thought might help my readers as well. NowInStock.net monitors the availability of Zhu Zhu Pets and the current prices. What makes this site different is you can set up alerts and when they come in stock it and will let you know so you can order them. As many may have heard retailers such as ToysRUS are making small quantities available at different times of the day but by the time you hear about it they are gone. With this tool it may make your search a little easier. They also keep an eye on other hard to find wish list items so is definitely worth checking out.

UPDATE: My friend Greg ended up finding Zhu Zhu Pets at our local CVS today. They have been getting small shipments in and he is going to make this little girl very happy! You guys may want to call your CVS and see if they have any! Doesn’t hurt to ask.

I’ve seen some posts from Moms that are wating outside Toys R Us for new shipments to try and get one, but frankly, I live in New England and it’s COLD at five AM!!
One of my girlfriends told me about gograbber.com, which is a free website that will “watch” items for you on Amazon and let you know when amazon has them in stock at regular retail price.
It worked so well I now have gograbber watching a whole bunch of stuff for me!

Thanks Alice for the tip! Luckily I have one too young to want Zhu Zhu pets and another that is too old. I agree I am NOT standing in line @ 5am for them even if I am in SC! I will check out gograbber.com now.

I called my local CVS store and they said they did not have any. I want to keep checking for them. I would like to give one away to my son’s PTA.
