Giveaway: Rainbow Brite Interactive CD-Rom

16 February 2010 44 Comments

I know I personally get so excited when a toy from the past is re-introduced on the market. When I was contacted my MomSelect and Hallmark and found out that Rainbow Brite is back on the doll scene with a vibrant makeover, I was flooded with all those fond memories of play and imagination from childhood.  I mean who wouldn’t love a doll that had a pony with rainbow hair! Now it has been 25+ years since I watched Rainbow Brite but I do remember how she  spreads messages of courage, kindness, and hope.  Not a bad choice for a positive role model for our kids! You can introduce your child to Rainbow Brite by letting them explore RainbowBrite.com.

We were also sent an interactive CD-Rom to learn more about Rainbow and her friends. Included in the CD was:

  • Rainbow Brite animated short
  • A memory/matching game
  • Puzzles
  • Rainbow Brite Theme song
  • Meet Rainbow Brite and friends
  • Coloring Pages
  • and More!

My 3 year old had a friend over and we all sat down on the couch to play. We started off watching the animated short and they sat there completely intrigued the whole time! Have you ever seen 3 year olds sit still for more than 2 minutes at a time?!?!? They liked Rainbow Brite and they of course squealed over the ponies! Some of the  games and puzzles were a bit hard for them to figure out but they were able to play the matching game and coloring pages and seemed to throughly enjoy them. Mom had a good time too!

TO BUY:

The new modern Rainbow Brite  doll collection is at available ToysRUS and Target featuring Rainbow, Moonglow, Tickled Pink, Starlight, Shimmer, and Sunriser.
